| I saw Mulan in the theater soon after it was released. I immediately told my friend that I needed to get it and soon after, received it as a gift. I haven't stopped watching it since. I think I have seen it almost 20 times. I know all the songs and can recite every line in the movie. I also own the soundtrack, which happens to be wonderful, by the way. Being a babysitter for the past 8 years has allowed me to view MANY if not all of the Disney movies. Although I have enjoyed many of them and their soundtracks, I have to say that Mulan is by far the best movie I have EVER seen in my life. Both the characters and plot are wonderful. I really like the fact that the movie is derived from a legend and uses many aspects of the Asian culture to bring about the issues of morality and honor. Eddie Murphy was wonderful as Mushu. To this day, I still laugh at every line that Mushu delivers in the movie. Especially when he calls the horse a sheep and a cow and says "Down Bessie." He seems to have a certain tone to his voice that is always humorous even when he's trying to be serious. Overall, this movie is a must see. If you have not already seen it then you are truly missing out on one of the best Disney movies ever made. I will continue to watch this movie for years to come. Other good movies will come and go, but this will ALWAYS be my favorite. GO MULAN! YOU ROCK! | |

| For some of you people's information, Japanese copied ALL the Chinese stuff. They use Chinese laguage, art, copied Chinese silk making and all the other things plus clothes and now everyone thinks all those things originated from Japan. Well they're not and china was the original! And did you know that Bonsai is actually from China? See? Japanese people take Chinese stuff and give them Japanese names, that's how they trick people into believing THEY made it. I am not Chinese so I'm not biased but I am REALLY sick of japanese people thinking they are better than China! | |

| My parents and grandma used to tell me about Mulan and I wanna be just like her! It takes REAL guts for a bgirl to take her father's place in a war. I'm so proud there was such a Chinese girl like that, for girl power and for love of her family. I just wanna say, to that person who doesn't believe Mulan was real, she is ok?? what proof do u need? If it was made up by chinese, why didn't they add dragons and gods and stuff? (well disney did but she needed some side-kicks). and I believe it's a true story. | |
