| kay, i'm sure that most of u will agree that this is a great movie, esp the females, as it shows how women are not bimbos and really do have brains (unlike most of disney's other stories). being chinese, i may be a bit biased, but even though they got some things mixed up, (eg the japanese make-up and the name, fa mulan, supposed to be hua mulan as mulan should be in mandarin, not cantonese,) i have to give it a ten, since it makes up for it with its great animation, fabulous music (especially "reflection", "make a man," and "true to your heart"). they did make a bit of fun at chinese, but then again, they poke fun at lots of things, including english ppl. i own the movie, watched it around 15 times or so.. | |

| I think that this is the best Disney film ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have fallen in love with the character Mulan, she had pratically become my idol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everything I do is on her: an english speech that I was free to choose who is it on, i chose MUlan, and now I'm doing my english project on her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I reckon that if Disney made more films like this I would really like Disney so much more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | |

| Oohhh it was one of the greastest movies I've ever seen! When I watch the movie, it gives you a modern-day feeling, but the scenes are very much ancient. There is a lot of sense of humor in it! But I wish they could show us what happened in the end. Like, did Mulan and Shang get married? (giggles) No! I'm just kidding. I wish they could make a real movie with real actors and actresses, that would make a great movie! | |

| I reckon that Mulan is the best Disney film ever. It not only portrays the character of Mulan beautifully, it also has great great great humour (especially Mushu). I love most the songs and music they have put in it, they are just wonderful. The storyline is also very very good!!!! I just love it!! I have seen it about 5 times and I'm gonna watch it again!!!!! | |

| I loved the message that this movie sends: if you are different, don't try to hide it! The world may benefit from your unique side. Many of you feel that this movie is racist because Mulan's eyes were overly slanted. I think that you're being racist because you notice the imperfections in the Chinese animation but not the American. I thought Mulan was very pretty, but I liked how she was not a stunning beauty. Have you ever noticed how Disney draws white non-hispancs? Pure white skin, dainty litte noses, and the proportions of Barbie! I thought it was great the way this movie had a love story but it wasn't the prominent feature. Mulan learned to love herself before she could love anyone else. The graphics and animation were great and I like the way characters do interesting or funny things even when they are not the center of attention in that particular sceane. It may have looked more Japanese than Chinese, but you can't please everbody. Overall this was a great movie; the best Disney has ever created! | |

| This is a nice disney movie, but.......... - as usualy disney gives the movie different and turns original story (poem) up site down, to give it a disney swing. But i am use to it now, see for other examples Hercules, Belle and the Beast and so on. And yes, Mulan is a bit ugly. But I must say I enjoyed watching the movie. | |

| Okay, I think Mulan was the best movie disney ever came up with. It has great animation and songs, so that is why I rated it ten. However, I have certain things to say. First off, 1. Those of you who said that Mulan's eyes are ridicuously slanted are wrong. They are perfectely fine. Would you rather have a light skinned Mulan who looked like Belle or Cinderella? 2. Disney in NO WAY portrayed the Huns (Mogolians) as imbeciles. 3. Whether or not Mulan really existed is debatable, though most resources point to true. However, as a side note to Xena, Mushu did not exist. sorry. Now, for the critical things: 1. MU LAN KNEW KUNG FU BEFORE HAND!!!!!! 2. Her "Little Brother" was human, not dog. 3. Her family was larger. 4. No emperor would be stupid enough as to hire Chi-Fu. 5. Mu Lan's name is Hua Mu Lan. Although some people do pronoune it as Fa Mu Lan, so... 6. She went by Hua Mu Lan in the army. If you disagree, go read the original poem 7. The movie had a too much Japanese-ish look. 8. Mulan was supposed to be a general or at least a captain. 9. I dunno if the great wall was built yet, I think it may have been, but hey! I think Mulan was a great movie, even though there were a lot of mis-done parts. It was a movie that got the point across. And if you can't see the point, you might have to get an eye-exam. P.S. anyone who'll like to argue with me, e-mail me. I love a good argument. Mind, I'm on the debate club. Oh, yeah, shut up if you think I'm a conceited loser, I really don't give. | |

| I just saw Mulan. It was the best animated movie I have ever seen. I loved it. I am a major anime fan, so I love anything from China or Japan. That is why I rented it. That is not why I bought it, however. I bought it becasue the characters were touching, witty and inspiring. I can bet you all agree with me. Mulan was a wonderful role model. I am very strong on equal rights. Finally, a female character who isn't either a total ditz or a total hag (or a cat) I think the only other exceptions to that rule are Arora from Sleeping Beauty, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and Ezmerelda from Hunchback of Notre Dame. Also, the way they draw the people is insulting as well. they overdo it with the 'slanting eyes' and 'bronze skin' we are just normal people. I do not look at white people and say "she has oval eyes and pink skin" it just doesn't work that way. In conclusion, I would have to say that this was the worst Disney movie I have ever seen.
