Guys and Gals:

Mulan has taken over the box office over X files ever since Monday. Mulan is poised to be the number 1 film for this week. I must say that I love this latest animation from Disney. I don't understand why people are criticizing about the songs from this film. I personally think that the songs in Mulan are one of the best ever made from Disney. These songs are all purposely designed for this film unlike some preivous Disney films where they targeted one particular song to become a hit single or something. I really think that these songs from mulan are specially tailored and designed for this film and that is the part that I like about it. Any comments? I will definitely see it again soon. Mulanistic!!!!!!!!

This is a very good movie. Unlike most recent Disney movies (Little Mermaid on, Disney hasn't tried to sell this movie by having women with big breasts and little clothing. Whew! Anyway, it was funny (Such as Mushu coming up with the name Ping because "My best friend growing up was Ping. 'Course, he stole my woman. But that's another story..."), and I think that Mulan herself is very pretty (In an Aerith Gainsbourough sorta way..^_^). Also, I'd like to point out that if at the beginning, if any guy had picked one of those scrawny beanpoles over Mulan, I woulda been seriously worried about China's future...^_^

As a chinese person, I was surprise to see and hear Disney had done their homework. There where things said in the movie that only chinese would say. i.e Iyah!
But, most important of all was the subject brought up continuiously, which was HONOR.
Its not just a Hollywood image. Honor in Chinese culture is of the highest importance. Without there is nothing. You may have money and all that, but without honor, you are nothing.

This is by far one of the best Disney films ever. And one of the ONLY films i have seen which depicts Chinese culture in a way which is not ignorant, and not racist. I applaud Disney for such great, politically correct, film making of a wonderful story.

This movie was so much better than any Disney movie I've ever seen! The music was great, except for that "A Women Worth Fighting For" song. The scene where the Huns are attacking is truly amazing. I loved this movie! It was great! I've seen it once and I really want to see it again. It's not just a baby movie for little kids. Anybody can enjoy it.
I really liked Mushu too. Eddie Murphy was so funny!

The one and only weak point in this movie was the songwriting - I truly miss Alan Menken and his partners (Zippel excluded). The songs did work in the movie but I felt there could be more inspired lines than "In our marching herd we feel a lot like cattle". But the visuals are amazing (the charge of the Huns is awe-inspiring...it makes me sorry to think about how it won't be the same on home video), the animation is beautiful, the voices are good (though I would have preferred Will Smith to Eddie Murphy as Mushu), and most of all, Disney finally gets the balance of the story right - something they haven't quite gotten since Aladdin (or, arguably, The Lion King). Neither too adult for kids nor too childish for adults, it doesn't make the mistakes that recent films have. I was actually in tears by the end of the film. I'll be back in the theater again as soon as I can!

Mulan was up there with all the rest of the other Disney greats .The lead heroine is independent and smart and not a tall blond beauty but rather a quietly preety girl who can pass for a boy. Compared the newer Disney , Mulan goes back to the times when the made movies like the little mermaid And is a classic as the disney movie . Mulan will go down in history

Movie was pretty good, some sad moments and all, but up and up, it was a pretty good legend translation from the Chinese version. What Disney have trouble doing is making the Characters look plain. Mushu was the funny one. Voices fit as usual.

I really enjoyed the movie. I happened to see someone commenting that the emperor would never bow to Mulan and the movie itself is not very historically correct. All I see is this is a Kids movie and in fact I like the way Disney interpreted this famous Chinese legend. (One emperor threw his baby son onto the ground in order to show he cared more for the general who saved his son's life than his son. Kind of hypocritical, but a lot could happen in China, and certainly anything can happen in an animation film.)

The sequence which Mulan left home is stunning. The battle scene is unbelievable. This is the best movie I saw this year. I have recommended the film to almost everyone I know and wish Disney keep up with its effort. Maybe another film based on some Chinese legend with a guy hero?

Overall, the best Disney animated feature since "Beauty & The Beast". I especially like Mulan's transformation scene, all the scenes with Mulan & her father and the "I'll Make a Man Out of You" scene.

There are many historical and georgraphic inaccuracies. I don't like the disco at the end either. But if you block out those, this is an extremely enjoyable movie.

ANIMATOR BROOSE JOHNSON DID LING AND CHIEN-PO. HE IS A FRIEND OF MINE AND TI GOT TO SEE LOTS OF THE MOVI IN AUG. OF 1997. HE HAS WORKED ON SIMBA, THE BEAST, THE GENIE, PERCY, AND SO ON.
