| Overall rating is a 9, however the music would rate only an 7-8 by itself [could have been better]. A definate must see, and better than any recent Disney movies, the storyline was well-defined and quick paced. |

| It was awesome~ The animation was great and shows a lot of influence from anime, especially in the snow and Hun attack scenes. Mulan is a great role model for girls in the fact that she doesn't go gaa gaa over Shang and is really smart and not ashamed of the fact. The score sections of the music were powerful and beautiful and even though the lyrical songs could have been better written they were prriday, June 19, 1998

Excellant! The "Huns on the Run" scene was a masterpiece! It gave me that shiver up my spine, that leaves you feeling good! I would HIGHLY recemend this movie to anyone! It's great for adults, because the film was based on a serious theme. IT's also great for children and people seeking comical releif. That was provided by Mushu and Crick-ee. THe songs were GREAT! I REALLY enjoyed them. In fact, I
would have to say the score was better then the songs [I enjoyed both].

| The opening 10-15 min. (up until she arrives at soilder camp) really defined the character, Mulan. After that, Mulan's character takes a back seat to Mushu who, wise-cracks in practically every scene. One begins to think they're watching a clean version of an Eddie Murphy standup routine! Mushu's Murphy-like street gang jive becomes a total distraction to the story. As for the songs, they are okay but there's no 'Just Around The River Bend', 'Part of Their World', or even 'Up There'. The one Mulan sings after her failed visit to a matchmaker is the best of the bunch but it's not Menken & Schwartz. |

| My favorite Disney movie (or movie period) since Beauty and the Beast. (In fact the beginning really reminded me of BatB!) This is the first movie I can think of that I've wanted to turn around and watch it again as soon as possible :) |

Disney's Mulan(1998, Now in Theaters)

WOW! This is the most stunning, beautiful, incredible Disney movie in years. The story line never dropped, everything went together. Oh yeah, the animation. :-) again, WOW. WOW. It is not all Eddie Murphy, it is exciting every minute! The action carries on and on.
Recommendation: MUST SEE! MUST SEE! MUST SEE |

On the whole the show is quite good,
but.....the facts and tradition are not really very correct. For example, I dun think I would ever expect the emperor to bow to Mulan, a peasant!!!!!!! He would only show is gratitude by awarding her with anything she wants!!! And the story line I feel went a bit too fast!!!
And also I kind of feel they are did not appeal to me as much as before because of the lack of the good music I hear in previous Disney movies...I was a bit disappointed to hear only a few songs....especially the ones sang by Lea Salonga are my favourites!!!!
Anyway, the movie was A very good one!!
Worth watching....but to tell U...not all chinese girls look like that!!!!!
