| I love this movie !!! My 2 yr old has to watch it all through the day so it has been on for almost 3 days now..he is hooked ...his expressions when he watches are priceless. Also, my 14 year old and his friend have been quoting Mater ALL DAY... I took him to see it when it was first released at the theatre and we still enjoy it as if it were brand new... someone mentioned the adult references in the movie but I never really thought of them that way until he mentioned it...GREAT MOVIE...I would recommend it for any age! can't wait til part 2!!!!! |

| I thought Cars was awsome and aparently there's going to be a Cars2 in 2012! Personaly I think that's to far away, but if it is going to as good as the first one I guess it will be worth the wait!!! |

| Hot shot racing car Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) finds himself stranded at slow moving Radiator Springs just off route 66 on route to the piston cup final where him and two other cars are to race. Destroying the road on his way in he is then forced to remain in town until he repairs them. He’s stuck in a small community whose tight-knit inhabitants accept neither his selfishness nor bad attitude. Racing against time to finish the roads and get to the piston cup final he eventually returns the friendship of Mater the rusty old tow truck (Larry The Cable Guy) and falls in love with Sally the flashy Porsche carrera (Bonnie Hunt), but can't seem to get Doc Hudson (Paul Newman), who keeps a secret, to change his mind about him. Soon Lightning learns the inhabitants of the town as a whole, which are almost a secret to the outside world, also had a past now painfully absent, and tries to help them enjoy it once more. |

| Good lesson of slowing down to 'smell the roses' and clarity of the more important things in life, such as friendship over fame. However, this was a typical Disney production; full of sexual and adult innuendoes way above the intended for 5 year old. McQueen notices Sally's sexy 'butt floss' tattoo on her trunk and the bumper sticker that actually reads 'Nice Butte'. Once there was talk about the 'Piston Cup' and Mator spoke up and said, "He did what in his cup?!" This movie could have been a bigger hit without all the connotations. Movies have 'R' ratings because kids aren't mature enough to understand the sex and the meaning of the language. I just hope the average 5-year-old doesn't have an attraction to butt floss yet and get the meaning of 'pissed-in-cup'. Great job Disney!! Keep up the good work preparing our children for the real world! |
